Hakuho Foundation, yayasan gabungan yang berorientasi pada kepentingan umum
yang berbasis di Tokyo, Jepang, membuka pendaftaran program Beasiswa Riset
Jepang Hakuho ke-11 pada tanggal 10 Juni.

– Tujuan
Dengan tujuan untuk semakin memperkuat fondasi riset internasional di Jepang
dan memperdalam pemahaman tentang Jepang melalui berbagai aktivitas riset,
program Beasiswa Riset Jepang Hakuho Foundation mengundang para peneliti
bahasa, sastra & budaya Jepang dan pendidikan berbahasa Jepang internasional
terkemuka untuk mengadakan riset residensial di Jepang.

— Persyaratan riset
– Riset bahasa Jepang dan pendidikan berbahasa Jepang
– Riset sastra dan budaya Jepang

— Persyaratan peneliti
Peneliti yang bekerja di bidang bahasa, sastra, budaya, atau pendidikan
berbahasa Jepang yang tinggal di luar Jepang dan memenuhi kriteria di bawah ini:
— Terafiliasi dengan lembaga pendidikan tinggi atau penelitian (termasuk
sarjana paska doktoral dan dosen paruh waktu), atau memiliki latar belakang
penelitian dan pendidikan yang setara
— Harus memiliki kemampuan berbahasa Jepang yang baik untuk dapat melakukan
penelitian dan berinteraksi dalam bahasa Jepang.
— Bukan warga negara Jepang atau warga negara Jepang yang telah tinggal diluar
Jepang selama 10 tahun atau lebih dan aktif di komunitas akademis, dll, di
negara tempat mereka tinggal
— Mau tinggal di Jepang selama berlangsungnya program beasiswa.

– Organisasi yang terlibat
Para penerima beasiswa akan melakukan penelitian dengan bekerjasama (akan
mendapatkan fasilitas, ruang penelitian, penasihat) dengan salah satu
organisasi dibawah ini:
Pusat Riset Kajian Bahasa Jepang Internasional
Universitas Kyoto
Institut Bahasa dan Linguistik Jepang Nasional
Universitas Ochanomizu
Universitas Ritsumeikan
Universitas Kajian Bahasa Asing Tokyo
Universitas Waseda

– Fasilitas Beasiswa
— Ongkos penerbangan: tiket pulang kelas ekonomi
— Tunjangan pemindahan: 350.000 yen
— Biaya tinggal selama masa riset: 350.000 yen/bulan
— Subsidi tempat tinggal: hingga 150.000/bulan
— Asuransi sakit dan kecelakaan internasional

Selain itu, Hakuho Foundation akan membayar uang kerjasama kepada organisasi
yang terlibat untuk penggunaan fasilitas, dll.

– Periode program beasiswa:
Jangka Panjang (1 tahun) : 1 September 2016 – 31 Agustus 2017
Jangka Pendek (6 bulan) : 1 September 2016 – 28 Februari 2017 (putaran
pertama) atau
1 Maret – 31 Agustus 2017 (putaran kedua)

Applications Now Being Accepted for 11th Hakuho Foundation Japanese Research Fellowship

Hakuho Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation based in Tokyo, Japan, began accepting applications for the 11th Hakuho Japanese Research Fellowship on June 10.

– Objectives
With the goals of further strengthening the fundamentals of international research into Japan and deepening understanding of Japan through researchers’ activities, the Hakuho Foundation Japanese Research Fellowship invites leading international researchers of the Japanese language, Japanese language education, Japanese literature and Japanese culture to Japan to conduct residential research.

– Eligible research

— Japanese language and Japanese language education research
— Japanese literature and Japanese culture research

– Eligible researchers
Researchers working in the fields of Japanese language, Japanese language education, Japanese literature or Japanese culture who reside outside Japan and meet all of the criteria below.

— Affiliated with a higher education or research institution (including postdoctoral scholars and adjunct professors), or have equivalent research and educational background
— Have sufficient Japanese language proficiency to be able to conduct research and interact in Japanese
— Non-Japanese national residing outside Japan or Japanese national who has resided outside Japan for 10 years or more and been active in the academic community, etc. of their country of residence
— Able to stay in Japan continuously for the duration of the Fellowship period

– Receiving organizations
Invited Fellows will conduct their research with the cooperation (facilities, research rooms, advisor) of one of the following receiving organizations:

International Research Center for Japanese Studies
Kyoto University
National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics
Ochanomizu University
Ritsumeikan University
Tokyo University of Foreign Studies
Waseda University

– Fellowship content
— Airfares: Return economy class air tickets
— Relocation allowance: 350,000 yen
— Living and research expenses: 350,000 yen per month
— Housing subsidy: Up to 150,000 yen per month
— International travelers’ illness and injury insurance

In addition, Hakuho Foundation will pay the receiving organization a hosting cooperation fee for use of facilities, etc. by the Fellow.

– Fellowship period
Long-term (1 year): September 1, 2016-August 31, 2017
Short-term (6 months): September 1, 2016-February 28, 2017 (Round 1), or March 1-August 31, 2017 (Round 2)
